Frequently Asked Questions

Registration

When is the 2017 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon?
Sunday October 22, 2017

How can I register?
Registration is available online until October 16, 2017 at midnight (if race caps have not been reached).  If you are unable to register before online registration closes, you can register in person at the race Expo (if race caps have not been reached).

Can you resend my confirmation email?
You do not require your confirmation email, as you can pick-up your race kit with one piece of valid photo ID.  You will need to look up your bib number BEFORE proceeding to the bib number kiosk.

Can I get a refund?
It is a Canada Running Series policy that no refund of entry fees will be issued nor will any transfer be made to other events.  It is the responsibility of the entrant to pick up their race kit from registration.  Race kits will not be mailed prior to or after the event.  T-shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may not be available after the event has taken place.

Can I defer my entry to next year?
No deferrals will be allowed.

Is there an expo?
The expo will be held at the Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place
Friday October 20 11:00am to 8:00pm
Saturday October 21 10:00am to 6:00pm

Can someone else pick-up my race kit?
Yes, but you need to follow these steps:

  • They need to know your bib number.  Bib numbers will be posted on the online confirmation list on October 17, 2017 and will be available for look-up at the expo.
  • They need to show email or written permission indicating that you allow them to pick-up your race kit.  They can have this on their cell phone to show the volunteers.
  • They need to show a copy of your registration email confirmation or have it on their cell phone to show the volunteers.

Is the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon a Boston Marathon qualifying event?
Yes, it is.  The Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon is a registered AIMS Marathon (Association of International Marathons) and is certified by Athletics Canada which makes it a great flat, fast, traffic-free Boston Qualifier.
