What Do We Do?
ANNE'S TEAM runs in support of The Anne Hoehn Memorial Foundation, a public foundation that partners with initiatives and programs in the community that promote mental wellness. Our partner programs focus on the early identification and treatment of social, emotional, and psychological issues in adolescents and emerging adults ages 13 to 24 years old. These programs provide multiple channels — online help, school-based programs, and a community-based walk-in venue — for young people to get the help they need when they need it.
This year, we will once again be supporting the Adolescent Walk-In Clinic program at Oolagen Community Services, which offers quick access to counselling for youth 13-18 years of age. In addition, we are pleased to announce that this will be our first year supporting The Jack Project, an initiative of the Jack Windeler Memorial Fund at Kids Help Phone. The Jack Project is focused on two critical environments that foster the development of emerging adults in transition — the online environment and the school environment. How Can You Help?
- Join Our Team — Participate in the 5 km walk/run, half-marathon or marathon and ask your family, friends and co-workers to sponsor you. Simply complete a short application at http://annesteam.com/stwm-2011-regapp/ and we will take care of the rest!
- Sponsor a Participant — Visit http://annesteam.com/join-as-a-sponsor/ and sponsor a runner on ANNE'S TEAM. An official tax receipt will be issued for a donation of $20 or more.
What Do We Ask of Participants?
Raise a minimum of $500 in pledges.
What Do We Provide to Participants?
A package of benefits and services to each and every participant that includes:
- Structured 20-week training program led by experienced running coaches
- Free membership at Extreme Fitness (Bloor-Yorkville) for the duration of our training program
- Paid entry to the event (a $35-95 value, depending on distance chosen and time of registration)
- Administration of your race and fundraising registration
- Discounts/special offers at retail partners
- ANNE'S TEAM technical T-shirts
- Prizes for fundraisers
- Post-race group lunch
- Multiple fundraising supports
