Be a part of ASAAP's passionate team of runners and walkers at the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon 2016 to raise funds for HIV/AIDS. On October 16th we will proudly participate for the second time as an official charity of this exciting community event!
ASAAP (Alliance for South Asian AIDS Prevention) is a non-profit organization serving people living with HIV and those at-risk with meaningful supports and education. The money we raise will go directly towards financial assistance for South Asians with HIV and help supplement their basic necessities. ASAAP's clients have complex needs related to their health that ranges from unemployment to housing to mental health which they face along with serious HIV stigma and discrimination. Our work is culturally relevant, creative and progressive.
Join our team to raise funds for a cause worth participating for! This year, we hope to reach our $15,000 goal and we know with a motivated and supportive team, we can do it! Our team 'Sweat or be Sari 16' is back and welcomes people of all ages, abilities and ancestries to walk with us and share our goals. Any and all support is welcomed!
Get in touch with Ranjani at ASAAP by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or phone (416.599.2727 x 221) to get the details.
A nice round of applause and good cheer from crowds of onlookers and supporters can go a long way too! We hope you will seriously consider being part of ASAAP's team Sweat or be Sari and get ready to move!
