For 40 years the Bridge has assisted ex-prisoners to successfully re-integrate back into the community. Since 2013 through our employment readiness program, 65% of the men we worked with were able to leave the shelter system, find suitable housing, remain substance free, were off the welfare system and most importantly were working within 2 – 3 months. Our hands-on approach, our many community partners and the genuine efforts of the men themselves allow for this incredible success. We know our “Bridge To Work” program is effective and the funds raised through this event make it possible. Our slogan of “Offering Men a Hand-Up… Not a Hand-Out”, is effective and responsible and makes our community safer!!
11 Bridge supporters have participated in this run over the past 3 years and we raised $12,000. We now wish to increase the number of runners and further and fully promote our involvement with this important event.
If you are interested in helping men change their lives, please contact: (905) 459-5757 firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are also a highly regarded contributing community partner and have organized many well publicized events/programs including Art Displays, Anti-Graffiti Programs, and College Presentations.
Justin: “The Bridge has allowed me to face my shame and travel my personal journey of healing from brokenness to wholeness and by shifting from hurting people to recognizing more deeply how I have hurt people and the need to make amends and give back.”
