We are thrilled to be running the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon for the 2nd year in a row in support of our programs in rural Africa! Last year our team of just two dedicated runners raised almost $6000 for our scholarship program in Kamengo, Uganda, that is currently responsible for putting 150 kids through school. This year, our efforts will be benefitting the incredible work CACHA does across all of our project countries. For more information on our programming, please visit our website: www.cacha.ca
Founded in 2001, CACHA works to improve population health, particularly in the realm of HIV/AIDS, in remote communities in Tanzania, Uganda, Gabon and Bénin. We do this by supporting orphans and vulnerable children, scholarship programs, water projects and maternal and infant health initiatives, in addition to our 10 annual medical missions where volunteer logistics and medical personnel travel to our project regions to hold intensive two week long clinics.
