Since 2004 CES Canada has provided access to education for 1500 secondary youth in Kenya affected by the HIV/Aids pandemic. A variety of CES projects support the key areas of Education, Water, Health and Nutrition. Post-secondary scholarships are provided to the highest achieving CES grads.
CES has also worked closely with the Canada Running Series to collect athletic shoes for needy youth in Kenya. To date over 3000 pairs of running shoes have been delivered at the annual Canada Day Run in Kakamega, KENYA.
Goals to continue partnering with the STWM include the provision of 100 scholarships for the year 2016. That will include a nutrition feeding program each day throughout the year. CES Canada is also involved in water and health projects that impact on people living in a 3000sq km area of rural western Kenya. Runners are invited to join Team CES Canada and support the cause of providing hope through education. 100% of funds raised go directly to the field. Acute poverty prevents young people from attending school. Runners will help defeat this unacceptable reality.
Team CES Canada provides the incentive to join — free registration up to September 1, 2015. In addition, there will be a prize for the runner with the greatest number of donors.
On October 18, 2015 be among those who will make a difference and restore hope for needy Kenyan youth.
