Breaking the Cycle
The way children are treated today determines the kind of adults they will become tomorrow. To realize their full potential, all children need love, care, guidance and encouragement, as well as educational experiences in both formal and informal settings.
When these things are lacking, children often grow up to be troubled adults incapable of leading satisfying, productive lives. Soon, they become the parents of another generation of disadvantaged children, trapped in a self-perpetuating cycle of poverty, inadequacy, illiteracy and despair.
Breaking this cycle and preventing its repetition is the prime objective of the Children's Aid Foundation. The programs funded by our donors fill the gap between publicly funded services provided by the Children's Aid Societies and other agencies, and the services children need to heal from the trauma they have experienced to become healthy productive adults.
Our Mission Statement
The Children's Aid Foundation is a national organization committed to improving the lives of abused and neglected children through prevention, enrichment and education.
Our main partner is the Children's Aid Society of Toronto, and we partner with other child welfare organizations through the Child Welfare League of Canada.
100% of all donations will go directly to help prevent child abuse and neglect.

How can I get involved?
- Challenge yourself to Walk, Run or Wheelchair the event to support our youth.
- Once you have registered, make sure you sign up on the ARTEZ on line fundraising page. Your personalized fundraising page is easy to do and you can download a collection form.
- Collect pledges from co-workers, friends, family. Encourage them to join you!
