Want to be a part of something amazing this fall? Join Daily Bread Food Bank and lace up to walk, run, or pledge at this year's Scotiabank Waterfront Marathon and help us fight hunger! Together we can make a difference and be one step closer to ending hunger.

Daily Bread provides food for almost 200 food programs across the city: meal programs at hostels and shelters as well as food banks and prenatal programs. Did you know that Daily Bread is more than a food bank? Daily Bread's programs include the Food Services Training Program, a paid opportunity for people experiencing barriers to employment to learn new skills and get a job in the food industry. Trainees also help prepare thousands of nutritious soups and stews that are sent out to meal programs every week. A community garden and community kitchen connects food bank clients with food from the garden to their table. An innovative and successful program that is expanding to member agencies, the Information and Referral Services Centre volunteers and staff work one-on-one with food bank clients to connect them to vital community resources they need in areas such as housing, education, employment, social assistance and crisis counselling.
