Working in partnership with our communities, Delisle Youth Services
(DYS) provides comprehensive, individualized services for children,
youth and their families, helping them to live, learn and grow.
Delisle Youth Services is a multi-service, community based charitable organization, supporting children, youth and their families coping with mental health issues and concerns and for children with multi complex special needs and their families who care for them.
Delisle delivers, manages and provides: the In-School Program at 6 Toronto high schools having a combined student population of over 6,700 youth; Residential Housing for at-risk youth; Day Treatment for students who are at risk of dropping out of school due to social, emotional, behavioural or intellectual difficulties; housing placement assistance; individual counselling; complemented by LGBTQ programming which includes workshops on avoiding substance abuse and encourages making healthy choices; and The Studio, a place for all youth to gather with their peers.
Our goal is: to increase our capacity to help more at-risk, marginalized and LGBTQ youth; to fill a gap in services for at-risk and/or; to increase children and youth literacy skills; to offer counselling and programming to help kids communicate through art; offer workshops for parents to help them further develop coping skills and knowledge in communicating positively with their adolescent strengthening their family relationships; and to encourage school completion.
