FOOTPRINTS is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit program dedicated to providing respite care for families with children 13 years of age and under who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). FOOTPRINTS operates two locations in Durham Region: Pickering and Whitby.
Established in 2004, FOOTPRINTS offers respite, not therapy, in a safe and happy environment. It is designed solely for the benefit of the affected children and for the relief of their families. All monies raised through the 2013 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon will be used to expand our Whitby program, train volunteers, and provide provide skill appropriate games and toys for the children.
FOOTPRINTS provides families and caregivers with a very precious gift — the gift of time. To learn more about FOOTPRINTS, please log onto our web site at www.footprints4autism.org.
Join our team and leave your FOOTPRINTS along the journey to ensure that families and children living with autism continue to receive the respite support they need to meet the joys, demands and challenges of raising a child with ASD.
