Free The Children is proud to announce our involvement in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon! We're coming together with our staff, partners, supporters and family to go the distance and make a difference.
Join the Free The Children team by signing up for the race of your choice. Being part of the fun is as easy as 1, 2, 3.
Register online at www.eventsonline.ca/events/crs_scotia and select the Free The Children team. There are three distance options, so there's an opportunity for everyone to get involved!
Marathon (42 km) Half-marathon (21 km) 5k Ages: 18+ Ages: 16+ Ages: everyone welcome!
Just for signing up, Free The Children will provide you with our specially designed team t-shirt (which is also socially responsible!). Wear it with pride as you train and show your solidarity with other team members.
On the same online registration page, download the Free The Children pledge form to begin your fundraising. Prepare for your race by collecting pledges and raising funds and awareness for our Adopt a Village development model overseas. The first 8 people to register for the full- or half-marathon, and the first 4 people to register for the 5 km, will register at no cost. Sign up as soon as possible to register for free!
Our exciting goal is to raise $20,000 for Education in Haiti. Together we can empower young people in a lasting, meaningful way.
Get family, friends and co-workers involved by sponsoring you, or even joining you in the race.
The marathon takes place on October 16, 2011, along Toronto's waterfront. Both the full and half marathons start at 9am at Nathan Phillips Square. The 5km run begins at (TBA) at Exhibition Place.
Free The Children supporters will be at the event to cheer on all our runners!
