Our Goal at Fred Victor is to provide homeless people and people living in poverty with a safe, stable affordable home and the opportunity to better their health and well being. Will you join us? When you run or walk for Fred Victor you help people in Toronto experiencing rough times to move on to a home, counselling, treatment, a job and hope for something better. Fred Victor works with people who are experiencing poverty, homelessness and/or mental health challenges. In the past 122 years, we’ve grown from a single shelter at Queen and Jarvis, to a city-wide multi service organization. We now serve 12,000 people each year at 18 service locations. We provide supportive housing, emergency shelter, employment and training, health care, food services, mental health support and case management. In May 2016 we will open a 108-unit site (former PanAm athletes' village) housing an additional 300 people. All runners and walkers for Fred Victor are eligible to win prizes for fundraising and are invited to join us for Brunch after the run.
