Thank you for running for children and families who are on wait lists and trying to access expert mental health treatment at The Hincks-Dellcrest Centre for Children's Mental Health!
Our goal: we are raising funds to help children and families who are on wait lists for up to a year, into active treatment.
Who we are: The Hincks-Dellcrest Centre for Children's Mental Health is a world recognized organization that brings hope, optimism, and possibilities to children and families struggling with mental health challenges. We create special treatment programs for children, based on their unique needs. Hincks-Dellcrest treats more than 8,000 children every year in the GTA, and provides best-in-class prevention and early intervention services, outpatient and residential treatment, and follow up care. We also have "The Farm," the only one of its kind in Canada where children go for residential, nature-based care on a fully operational farm outside of Collingwood. Hincks-Dellcrest's Gail Appel Institute is a University of Toronto academic research and training centre, and teaches students and established professionals from around the world. More than 500 expert staff support our work, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and child and youth workers, who are highly respected for their dedication to children and families.
Our Teen Partners: A group of remarkable teens from around the GTA have created The Teen Mental Health Project to raise funds to help children and teens at Hincks-Dellcrest. They are also building awareness about the fact that one in five children has a mental illness, and needs help now.
