Hope for Children Foundation

Hope for Children Foundation

Fleeing an abusive home, Linda and her two children moved into a shelter. She needed financial help to pay for first and last month's rent to get her own apartment, and income from social assistance wasn't enough. Linda received a poverty relief grant from the Hope for Children Foundation to help secure an apartment that has given her children a safer and stable home.

Baby Johnny doesn't have a crib and is sleeping in his parent's bed. Co-sleeping has been known to cause Sudden Infant Death syndrome, and can be extremely dangerous. With the help of an enhancement grant from the Hope for Children Foundation, Johnny's parents were able to purchase a crib so that he could have a safe night's sleep.

Jenny is a bright, resilient young woman with a zeal for learning. She came into the care of CCAS at the age of 11. Without a family to support her, obtaining a post-secondary degree will mean heavy debts for Jenny. A post-secondary scholarship from the Hope for Children Foundation will ease the financial burden, giving her the opportunity to focus on her studies.

Run or walk with the Hope for Children Foundation and give children and youth a safer and brighter future!

The Hope for Children Foundation provides direct support to over 3,500 children and youth who face poverty, hunger, abuse, neglect, and exposure to domestic violence in their daily lives. Our programs support children and youth who are served by the Catholic Children's Aid Society of Toronto, so that they can receive the nurturing they need to heal, build resilience, aspire to a better future and achieve their dreams. Through post-secondary scholarships, enhancement grants and summer camp opportunities, poverty relief grants, and support to youth transitioning from foster care to independent living, we're giving children and youth the hope to have their dreams back! Make a difference. Change a child's life!

Help us reach our goal of $50,000!
