International Justice Mission is a global organization that protects the poor from violence throughout the developing world. IJM partners with local authorities to rescue victims of violence, bring criminals to justice, restore survivors, and strengthen justice systems. International Justice Mission Canada shares in this mission. Our global team includes hundreds of lawyers, investigators, social workers, community activists and other professionals at work in nearly 20 communities. IJM combats everyday violence including slavery, sex trafficking, sexual violence, police abuse of power, property grabbing and citizenship rights abuse.
WE RESCUE INDIVIDUALS, ONE BY ONE. THAT'S WHERE OUR WORK STARTS. BUT THAT'S NOT WHERE IT ENDS. WE'RE ALSO STOPPING THE VIOLENCE BEFORE IT STARTS BY HELPING LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT, COURTS AND COMMUNITIES SUSTAINABLY PROTECT VULNERABLE PEOPLE. AND WE'RE SEEING PROOF THAT CHANGE IS POSSIBLE SO FAR, WE'VE RESCUED MORE THAN 23,000 PEOPLE FROM VIOLENCE AND OPPRESSION. AND, TODAY, OUR WORK IS HELPING TO PROTECT 21 MILLION PEOPLE GLOBALLY FROM VIOLENCE.
By running in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon in support of IJM Canada you are helping protect the poor from everyday violence like slavery, sex trafficking and sexual abuse. Thank you for running with us.
