Make-A-Wish® Canada
I'm Abdullah Aumeer, a proud Wish dad, and Make-A-Wish® Canada became part of my extended family over three years ago. My twin daughters, Aaliyah and Amina, age 11, both live with cerebral palsy. In 2008, Make-A-Wish® made their magical Walt Disney World® wish come true. Both Aaliyah and Amina were all smiles for the entire week — especially when they had the opportunity to meet their favourite Disney characters at all the different theme parks. Today, the lasting memories and special moments we had together continue to bring smiles to all our faces. Both girls fondly remember those precious snapshots in their lives. Without, Make-A-Wish, their dreams could have never been realized.
Stride for Wishes
In support of Make-A-Wish, join my family, along with the Make-A-Wish Team at the 2011 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon. Whether you run or walk, together, we will raise awareness and funds to continue granting the magical wishes of courageous children living with life-threatening medical conditions. Each step you take will help provide a child with a well-deserved break from being sick. Because some wishes can't wait for some day.
