Join Team MMRF in Toronto as we unite to raise funds and awareness for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF). The MMRF enjoys a strong base of support in the Greater Toronto area, and now, for the first time ever, we are providing a way for local families, friends and other supporters connected through multiple myeloma to come together and make a difference. An outstanding 93% of funds raised go toward research and related programming.

Multiple myeloma is an incurable blood cancer. Although progress has been made in treating multiple myeloma, the five-year relative survival rate remains one of the lowest of all cancers. The work of the MMRF contributed to the FDA approval of four drugs for multiple myeloma in just four years — a track record unparalleled in oncology. Introduction of these treatments has helped increased life expectancy in some patients from four years to nearly seven years and, because of their success in myeloma, these same drugs are now being explored as potential treatments for more than 20 other cancers and diseases.
The mission of the MMRF is to relentlessly pursue innovative means that accelerate the development of next-generation multiple myeloma treatments to extend the lives of patients and lead to a cure. The MMRF enjoys a special relationship with Toronto's University Health Network/Princess Margaret Hospital, a founding institution member of the Multiple Myeloma Research Consortium (MMRC). Princess Margaret is a significant contributor to the advancement in the research being funded by the MMRF.
