On October 20th, 2013, we invite you to run with the RSF team as we participate in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge for the second year!
The funds you raise will enable RSF to provide high-quality, interactive music programs free of cost to families with young children using shelter services in the GTA. These fun, educational classes are taught by professional musicians with a focus on developing language, numeracy and other age-specific skills.
For families living in shelters, participating in an RSF class is an incredible opportunity to laugh and learn through music while helping to strengthen bonds and encouraging participants to grow together. Through our classes, caregivers develop confidence and feelings of improved parenting, while children benefit from greater self-confidence, often at a time when they need it the most — a time when they face serious issues in their daily lives including homelessness, poverty and domestic violence.
RSF is a volunteer-run organization, and 100% of the money raised will go to the shelter programs.
We look forward to running with you for a great cause!
“These classes are wonderful, stress free bonding time with my children.”
“My kids sing the songs we learn in class all the time — in the bath, at bedtime, when they wake up. They ask for the classes all week.”
“I really look forward to this one-on-one time with my kids. It's like an escape from our daily routine.”
