Scientists in School is Canada’s largest science education charity, annually reaching over 660,000 children and youth across Alberta and Ontario through our hands-on workshops. Peek into any of our science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) and environmental classroom and community workshops and you’ll see kids transformed into scientists as they make hypotheses, verify their own conclusions, and experience the thrill of discovery. Kids create cool chemical reactions, explore propeller angles in their own wind tunnel, examine microscopic spider eyes, build load-bearing structures, and so much more!
Help us reach our $25,000 fundraising goal! Join us for STWM 2016 to help us to do what we do best — make an impact. We need your help to ensure that our workshop costs remain affordable to schools, schools serving low-income communities receive free workshops, and every child in every one of our workshops has access to the scientific equipment and materials that make a Scientists in School workshop so rewarding. Together, we can give kids across Alberta and Ontario the opportunity to connect science to their real world, realize their potential, and take risks knowing that in science there are no mistakes — only discoveries.
