Sheena's Place is participating in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon and we warmly invite you to join our team! Whether you're taking part in the Marathon, Half-Marathon or the 5K, join us to help raise funds or volunteer your time. We want to raise awareness about eating disorders and the ways Sheena's Place supports individuals and families living with eating disorders. We know it will be a positive and wonderful day and we want you to be part of the Sheena's Place team.
At Sheena's Place we offer hope and support to individuals aged 17 and over, families and friends affected by eating disorders by providing a range of professionally facilitated support groups and services. We are committed to inspiring hope, reducing stigma, raising awareness and offering meaningful help at all stages of recovery. Located in downtown Toronto, Sheena's Place is a non-institutional, non-residential centre where people with similar issues and concerns come together in groups to share experiences, thoughts, feelings, and coping strategies. We are very proud that all of our services are provided free of charge. We offer groups for young adults, adults, mothers, men, and women over forty, as well as groups for families, friends and partners of those with eating disorders. Although we are a registered charity, we do not receive funding from the government and we are not a United Way Member Agency. We rely on revenue from special events and the generosity and financial support of individuals, foundations and corporations.
Please join us by walking, running, volunteering or donating in support of Sheena's Place. Please note that all the funds raised will go directly to programs and services. To receive your discounted registration PIN code, contact Angela at 416 927-8900 ext. 25. Thank you very much for your support.
