Join TFW and Scotiabank employees to support treatment for children with cleft lip and palate in developing countries. 100% of donations are directed to the frontline delivery of surgery and rehabilitation for children. Each $1 raised will be matched by $2 by a private foundation, tripling the value of all pledges!
- Every 11 minutes, a child is born with a cleft lip and palate (CLP).
- In developing countries, treatment is often limited or lacking in quality.
- CLP not only affects appearance but also speech, hearing, nutrition, and social interaction.
- Children with CLP may face social exclusion, exploitation, or even abandonment.
With a combination of surgery and rehabilitation, a child with CLP can go on to lead a normal life.
Join our team and you will receive:
- A reduced registration fee — $60 for the full or half marathon and $30 for the 5K walk
- Team members who raise at least $348 — the cost of one child's surgery — will have their entry fee waived.
- All team members will receive a free TFW running cap
- Prizes for top fundraisers
