Tune Up and Turn Out for the TSO!

Toronto Symphony Volunteer Committee

Founded in 1922, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) is one of Canada's most important cultural institutions, with a commitment to innovative programming and audience engagement through a broad range of performances that showcase the exceptional talents of the Orchestra along with a roster of distinguished guest artists and conductors. The TSO also serves the larger community with TSOUNDCHECK, the original under-35 ticket programme; the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra; and music education programmes that reach over 50,000 students each year.

The TSO's music education programmes designed for students and their teachers are intended to supplement and enhance a young person's music education. The Young People's Concerts and the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra (TSYO) offer opportunities for musical development outside school hours. The Toronto Symphony Volunteer Committee (TSVC) provides funding and support for these programmes, including annual awards and bursaries to the TSYO's talented young musicians aged 22 and under.
