About the TSO

Founded in 1922, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) is one of Canada’s most important cultural institutions. The TSO serves the larger community with TSOUNDCHECK, the original under-35 ticket program; the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra; and music education programs. The TSO relies on the support of its vibrant community to deliver outstanding programming and music education.

Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra (TSYO)

For more than 40 years, the TSYO has been dedicated to providing a high-level orchestral experience for talented young musicians aged 22 and under. 2015-2016 marks the first season that the TSO will offer tuition-free enrollment to all TSYO members on a scholarship.

TSO Education Programs

The TSO has one of the largest education programs in Canada, connecting students throughout Ontario with curriculum-based programming that reaches tens of thousands of students each year. The Toronto Symphony Volunteer Committee (TSVC) provides funding and support to the TSO, the TSYO’s tuition-free enrolment, and the TSO’s education programs.
