We exist to build caring, compassionate, just and interdependent communities. For over 40 years, we have been a fixture in Southwest Scarborough, and a lifeline to many residents who depend on our services. There are over 50 programmes and services reaching over 6,000 clients out of our main building and six other satellite locations. We cover the spectrum of children and youth; seniors, health and wellness; crisis intervention; and community education, engagement and support.
Our bustling Centre addresses the critical needs of the diverse communities we serve. On any given day you may find our staff delivering a hot lunch to a homeless person, giving a harm reduction kit and compassionate words to a person struggling with drug addiction, mediating a family conflict to prevent the family from falling apart, providing a senior with laundry and housekeeping assistance, helping a youth find a job, leading an 8 year old in a game of basketball, showing a mother how to cook healthy meals for her family, hosting a Zumba class for busy moms and grandmas, and so much more!
The first 10 participants who sign up for the 5K, Half Marathon or Marathon will have their entry fee reimbursed. The top two fundraisers will receive prizes, and all participants will receive a Warden Woods t-shirt. Together we can create opportunities in our communities!
