What is Yee Hong?
The Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care is a non-profit organization dedicated to delivering high quality and culturally appropriate services to seniors in the Greater Toronto Area. Our mission is to enable seniors to live life to the fullest – in the healthiest, most independent and dignified ways.

environment and top notch programs and care…. When it comes to the Ministry of Health, we have 600 homes, but
none of them have been able to match on an ongoing basis, the record of compliance and quality of care that is provided
in the Yee Hong Centres."

Yee Hong Facts:
- Opened 4 Yee Hong Centres in Scarborough, Markham and Mississauga from 1994 to 2004
- Over 800 beds in 4 centres
- Offers culturally appropriate care services to seniors of Chinese, South Asian, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Italian, Filipino and Portuguese backgrounds
- Over 1800 people on waiting list
- Need to raise $2.5 million each year in order to maintain our continuum of care services
- 150 social housing units
- 308 life lease units
Join Our Team:
- 42.2 km Marathon; time limit: 6.5 hrs
- 21.1 km Half-Marathon; time limit: 3 hrs 40 minutes
- 5 km Walk; time limit: 1 hr 10 minutes
Incentive:
- Registration is FREE for all marathon, half marathon or 5K participants with $250.00 or more in pledges
- Special prize for the participant who collected the highest amount in pledges
