Road Closures: Queen's Quay
On September 26th, 2010, come out and be inspired by 20,000 dreamers…
Every participant in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, Half Marathon and 5k has their own dream of reaching the finish line.

20,000 runners from over than 40 countries will cross our finish line, giving back to the communities they run through in the process. Last year
the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon raised over $1.4 million for 64 local charities including Assaulted Women's Helpine and Epilepsy Toronto.
This year our goal is to surpass $1.5 million. With your support, we can make it happen!
We work closely with the City, Police, TTC, and City Councillors to minimize disruptions and inconveniences for Toronto residents on September 26th.

Visit the Neighbourhood Entertainment Centre (NCE) nearest YOUR Neighbourhood
- Harbourfront / Trinity-Spadina — Queens Quay at Yonge (8am – 12pm) in front of Waterlink condos
On the morning of the 26th, a team of judges will determine which of the neighbourhoods along our course has the best Cheering and Entertainment
Centre. The best centre will be judged by how many people are out cheering, the quality of entertainment and the atmosphere. The three winning
neighbourhoods will be awarded $6,000, $3,000 and $2,000 for their official charity! Help them win! Come out and cheer on September 26th.

Queens Quay Road Closures
during the 21st annual Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, Half Marathon and 5k on September 26th, 2010
Access:
- Spadina Ave. will REMAIN OPEN ALL DAY for uninterrupted North-South traffic and
Gardiner Expressway access. This is THE way in and out for downtown traffic.
- Westbound lanes of Queens Quay will remain open all day.
- Gardiner Eastbound can be accessed from Queens Quay via Lakeshore Blvd. and the on-ramp
from Lakeshore Blvd., just east of Rees.
- Stadium Road northbound will be open to Lakeshore Blvd. for access eastbound only.
- Police at Lakeshore Blvd. eastbound at Spadina Ave. will allow northbound, left turns
from Lakeshore to Spadina northbound, and will also allow Gardiner westbound traffic to go
north on Spadina to Bremner and make a legal u-turn there to return to the Gardiner ramp.
- Queens Quay eastbound from Rees to Small St: the eastbound curb lane will be
coned for runners only, but the passing lane is available for local traffic. Vehicles will be
permitted to head north/south on Parliament after 9:00am. Eastbound Lakeshore will be open as far as Leslie St. after 12:00pm.
Closures:
Road closures on Sunday, September 26th for the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon include, but are not limited to:
- Lakeshore Blvd. from Windermere Ave. to Don Roadway (6am – 11am west of Bay Street / 6am to 2pm East of Bay Street)
- Lakeshore Blvd. from Leslie St. to Northern Dancer Blvd. (7:00am – 1:00pm)
- Bay St. from Queen St. to Dundas St. (Saturday, 12:00pm – Sunday, 6:00pm)
- Bay St. from Lakeshore Blvd. to Queen St. (5:00am – 3:00pm)
- Queens Quay EASTBOUND from Stadium Rd. to Rees St. (8am -12pm) Note: Local eastbound access between Rees St. and Parliament St.,
use Lakeshore from Spadina Ave. to access Rees St. south.
Note: Paid-duty police will be at all major intersections to safely direct traffic around
and through gaps in the runners, i.e. at Bathurst, Rees, York, Harbour Square.
