The daily average temperature for the month of October in Toronto is a comfortable 10.6°C or 51°F. The average high in October is 13.8°C or 57°F and the average low is 7.3°C or 45°F. Average rainfall for the month is 64.7mm or 2.5". Moderately high humidity is a possibility at this time of year. Be prepared for a variety of conditions.
You should arrive at least an hour before your start time to do any last minute things (baggage check, warm-up, toilets, etc).
Although the Start & Finish line locations are slightly different this year, everything is still close to Nathan Phillips Square. We suggest Green P parking at City Hall [enter off Bay north of Queen as Queen & University will be closed for Start]; Green P at Yonge Dundas Square, the Eaton's Centre parking — and ANY private lots in the area!
The secret is to come into and exit the area NORTH of Queen. Find a lot north of Queen so you can get away easily afterwards.
For the 5k, shuttle buses will be provided:
Marathon and Half-Marathon Baggage Check will be open from 7:30–8:40am, at University Ave at Armoury (south of Dundas). The cost is $2 per bag, with proceeds going to the three featured charities. You can pick up your bag at the finish line area at Richmond and Bay.
5k Baggage Check will be open from 10:00-11:00am, right beside the 5k Shuttle Bus loading area — on Richmond, west of University (you can drop your bag off right before you board the bus to go to the DEC). The cost is $2 per bag, with proceeds going to the three featured charities. You can pick up your bag at the finish line area at Richmond and Bay.
All marathon, half marathon and 5k finishers will receive a medal.
Yes, post-race massage takes place between 10am and 3:45pm at the Party Site near the finish line area. The cost is $15 for a 15 minute massage. You can order when registering or separately online until midnight Oct 10. You can also pay on race day however ordering/paying in advance will greatly decrease your wait time.
Presentation at the finish line to top 3 overall males and females, and top Canadians, in the marathon. All other Results will be posted on the RESULTS WALL next to the Main Stage in Arnell Plaza, and age group and other awards available in the adjacent AWARDS TENT.
