Anthony Chadwick of Liverpool wins CANADIAN AFFAIR trip for 2 to STWM08

Anthony Chadwick

CONGRATULATIONS go out to Anthony Chadwick of Liverpool, who won this year's contest in Runner's World UK magazine, for a trip for two to Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, courtesy of Canadian Affair.

Who says Scousers aren't lucky? For the second year in a row, our contest winner comes from Merseyside!

Anthony writes us:

"Great news. What a nice surprise!

I am 42 years old, and belong to Liverpool Running Club. I've been running since I was 11, when I started cross country for my school.

Nowadays, I do 20-30 miles a week on average; but will do more to prepare for Toronto Waterfront Marathon.

I have a PB of 3 hours 21 minutes for the marathon, set 5 years ago. I enjoy the shorter distances more.

I beat a 20 year PB to get my 10K time down to 38:20 just after my 40th birthday, so I'm in reasonable shape.

Toronto will be a good boost for my training!"

Unfortunately Anthony's wife is a teacher and can't get off school to come with him—so it's lucky for his running pal George Sinanan!

They'll fly Canadian Affair from Manchester in super-comfy seats with lots of leg-room, and stay at the Sheraton Toronto Centre Hotel, right on top of the Start/Finish at Nathan Phillips Square, City Hall.

THANKS to the more than 4,000 UK runners who entered this year's contest! If you didn't win, we hope we'll see you at Toronto Waterfront anyway. Please check out the great DEALS with Canadian Affair, while seats last.
