A. Lassonde, OASIS Pure Fruit Juices become major sponsor of Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon and Canada Running Series
TORONTO. August 22nd, 2006. RCP International, owners of the Canada Running Series and the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, are pleased to announce a major two-year sponsorship from the OASIS Pure Fruit Juice brand of A. Lassonde of Rougemont, Quebec.
With the sponsorship, Oasis will take title to the OASIS Running Fitness and Health Expo, and the OASIS Neighbourhood Challenge at the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon. In addition, they will become title sponsor of the OASIS ZooRun 10K & 5K, the Grand Final of the Canada Running Series, held in mid-October at the Toronto Zoo.

"Their investment in the Waterfront Marathon will enable us to significantly grow our 10 OASIS Neighbourhood Cheering & Entertainment Centres on the course.
Similarly, their support of the OASIS Running, Health & Fitness Expo will allow us to take what is already a good runners' Expo at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (Sept 22-23, 2006), and turn it into a mass, consumer running show that Canada needs.
In both instances, we are able to target spectators and the general public—something we feel will really help take the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon to the next level."
