Scotiabank International Team Challenge
Team Canada vs Team GB, Team US & Team Mexico
The ITC provides a fabulous opportunity for younger, up and coming athletes to gain invaluable international experience in a major, international marathon. Toronto Waterfront is also building a reputation for its flat, fast course.
These are "official", "developmental", national teams, with national team uniforms.
All travel, accommodation and food expenses will be covered for those selected to their national teams. Team members will also be housed in our "Athletes Village" hotel along with all the top African and other international runners, located near High Park.
Teams consist of 2 men and 2 women. We are looking for men capable of running in the 2:13 to 2:19 range, and women in the 2:33 to 2:40 range.
Finishing times for all 4 athletes will be scored using the Mercier scoring tables for comparative performances, and the points for the best THREE performances on each team will count for final standings for the Scotiabank International Team Challenge.
2009 Team Prizing
- 1st place Team receives CDN$4,000 (for the team)
- 2nd place Team receives CDN$2,000
- 3rd place Team receives CDN$1,000

It is hoped that selections can be made in June, in order to allow adequate time for preparation.
