Scotiabank International Team Challenge
This year's Challenge will feature a traditional, great rivalry between Team England & Team Canada
The ITC provides a fabulous opportunity for younger, up and coming athletes to gain invaluable international experience in a major, international marathon. As an IAAF Silver Label Race, Toronto Waterfront has built a reputation for its flat, fast course, that offers good competition and fast times, that help athlete career development.
These are "official", "developmental", national teams.
All travel, accommodation and food expenses will be covered for those selected to their national teams. Team members will also be housed in our "Athletes Village" hotel along with all the top African and other international runners, located near High Park.
Teams consist of 2 men and 2 women. We are looking for men capable of running in the 2:10 to 2:17 range, and women in the 2:30 to 2:40 range.
Finishing times for all 4 athletes will be scored using the Mercier scoring tables for comparative performances, and the points for the best THREE performances on each team will count for final standings for the Scotiabank International Team Challenge.
