Below is a list of community run clubs and crews across Toronto and the GTA who are  training for the 2016 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon. We encourage you to change your training up, and try something new by running with some of these amazing groups!

Black Lungs Toronto

Black Lungs logoBlack Lungs Toronto is a performance based running club where running, training and racing to the best of our abilities is our primary objective. All members of the Black Lungs are highly competitive and committed distance runners. They value endurance and speed, and are particularly interested in creating success at the marathon distance. We are committed to training seriously, to racing regularly, to displaying our club colours and to contributing to the camaraderie of the group.

When we run:

  • Thursdays: Speed/Interval workouts
  • Sundays: Long runs

Night Terrors Run

NTRC LogoTake a step into the night. Run. Train. Race. We run just because. There are no boundaries for the Night Terrors. As of 2014, Night Terrors crews can be found in the following North American cities: Toronto, Ontario (Canada) Los Angeles, California (USA) Miami, Florida (USA). We are not an exclusive running crew. Everyone is welcome to join us for our official running nights. Beginner runners: you’ve come to the right place, Seasoned runners: we enjoy running as much as you, speed or long.

When we run:

  • Mondays at 9:00 p.m., distance 5k–8k
  • Thursdays at 8:00 p.m., distance 12k and up

Pace & Mind

Pace and Mind LogoBased in Toronto and Montreal, Pace and Mind offers premium coaching for runners who run for their life; both physically and mentally progressing to achieve goals on and off the road. Their custom-training programs and community runs are based on: Individuality, Progression, Recovery, Motivation, Engagement and Community. Unlike cookie-cutter programs and clinics, Pace and Mind coaching programs are built directly by Head Coach Rejean Chiasson, a Canadian Marathon Champion and 4x half-marathon Canadian medalist. They are powered by TrainingPeaks software to ensure data accuracy and a powerful listening tool for the coach. Lastly, Pace and Mind aims to create an inclusive community by integrating the runner into community runs and socials to create the best running experience possible.

When we run:

  • Tuesday and Thursday, group interval/fartleks
  • Sunday at 9am, long runs open to everyone.
